The Harbour Of Monaco
As well as the spectacular array of superyachts expected at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, there will be a host of additional events for a holistic experience.
Since its inception in 1991, the Monaco Yacht Show has grown to become one of the most prestigious and keenly anticipated yacht shows in the world. Today, it draws more than 125 superyachts to the sapphire waters of Port Hercules. This year, 121 of the superyachts will be more than 25m in length, the largest vessel will be 107m in length, 21 yachts will exceed 60m, the average length is 75m, 42 will be new launches making their global debut, and the average value of the yachts on display is now €27 million. As well as the harbour filling with yachts for the 28th time, the side events will be bigger and more important to the programme than ever before.
The fourth edition of the Monaco Yacht Summit will address an audience of potential yacht owners, charterers, their advisors and family offices. The event aims to provide these delegates with new insights into different aspects of the superyacht sector so they can make informed purchases. A diverse panel of yachting experts will be on hand to discuss relevant topics and answer questions ahead of the show. This year, the summit will be held on 24 September at Yacht Club de Monaco.
Also in its fourth year is the Car Deck exhibition. The latest models from premium automakers, as well as niche customised cars and bikes will again be on show at Quai Antoine Ier. The Heritage Collection by Overfinch will make its world premiere at the show. The British brand will display customised versions of the iconic Land Rover and Range Rover models. New to the Car Deck, Z’Art redesigns the interiors of luxury cars. A leading player in automotive tuning on the Russian market with 140 expert technicians who work on top flight passenger VIP lounges inside SUVs and business minivans, Z’Art will exhibit a range of its latest customised creations to visitors.
Titan Motorcycle Co will find their place at this year’s Car Deck and unveil their jaw dropping retro styled bikes. The Austrian based company will present one off customised models including the Titan Bavarian Bobber BMW R50 3, Titan Xaver BMW K100, Titan One Honda CB350 and Titan Blue Falcon Yamaha MT 01.
Brabus will be showing a range of converted Mercedes Benz cars, as well as ultra exclusive powerboats via their subsidiary Brabus Marine. For those who prefer their Mercs a bit older, a distinguished selection of genuine vintage cars from the Mercedes Benz Museum in Stuttgart will be on display and up for sale.
Lovers of classic American muscle cars will be dazzled by the genuine Shelby models which return to Monaco for 2019. Gentleman Car, the exclusive dealer in Europe, will display the CS GT40 MKI and the legendary Cobra 289 FIA and Cobra 427 roadsters, all respectfully restored.
LLM Mecasport, the Belgian restoration garage, based at Spa Francor champs, will exhibit the personalised Porsche 911 3.0L RSR and 1977 Porsche 911 2.7L Targa on the Car Deck. Garage Hotel, meanwhile, will be on hand to show off its stateof the art replicas of storied models like the Cobra or GT40 and Lola T76.
Making its debut last year was the Tenders & Toys area fast chase boats, the latest sport tenders, e bikes, inflatables and even a remotely operated underwater vessel are among the top water accessories that will make this year’s tender exhibition.
